Students at the Zilla Parishad school in Dindori had read about computers in their textbooks but had never used one. Our new digital learning corner changes that, with two laptops, a projector and a library of offline lessons in Marathi.
A trained volunteer visits twice a week to run sessions on typing, safe internet use and maths practice games. Teachers use the projector for science videos in their regular classes too.
The school management committee has set up a timetable so every child from Class 5 to Class 8 gets at least one hour in the corner each week.
Highlights
- 180 students with weekly computer time
- Offline lessons that work without internet
- Teachers trained to run the corner on their own
