Poor eyesight quietly holds back children in class and makes daily work harder for adults. Our eye screening camp in Solapur tested more than 700 people, from schoolchildren to farmers and senior citizens.
Optometrists found that 210 people needed glasses. Each of them received a free pair within a week, fitted at the village gram panchayat office.
Patients with cataracts were registered for surgery through a government scheme, and our volunteers will accompany them on the day.
