Our free health checkup camp in Maval brought doctors, nurses and volunteers to a village where the nearest clinic is an hour away by bus. By evening, 650 people had been screened.
The camp checked blood pressure, blood sugar, haemoglobin and eyesight. Patients who needed further care were given referral letters, and our team will help them reach the district hospital.
Free medicines were handed out for common conditions, and a health worker spoke to mothers about nutrition for young children.
