Many senior citizens are entitled to pensions and benefits but cannot manage the forms and office visits alone. Our help desk in Yavatmal now does this work with them.
Volunteers help with old age pension forms, health insurance cards and senior citizen travel concessions, and go with seniors to government offices when needed.
So far, 140 seniors have been helped to apply, and the first pensions have started to arrive.
