Warli painting is an art passed down through generations in Palghar. Our workshop helped 35 artists, most of them women, turn this tradition into a steady income.
Artists learned to paint on products such as bags, diaries and wall hangings, and to price their work fairly and sell it at exhibitions and online.
Their first exhibition sold out in two days, and orders have come in from shops in Mumbai and Pune.
