Hamlets in the Melghat forests can be hours from the nearest clinic. Our mobile health team now visits 15 of them every month.
The team checks children’s growth, supports pregnant women, treats common illnesses and refers serious cases to the rural hospital, helping with transport where needed.
Local health volunteers in each hamlet keep in touch between visits and call the team in an emergency.
