When heavy rain flooded villages along the Krishna river in Sangli, our volunteers were on the ground within a day.
We delivered relief kits to 800 families, each with rice, dal, oil, drinking water, blankets, tarpaulin sheets and hygiene supplies. Families in villages cut off by water were reached by boat with the help of local rescue teams.
We are now visiting each village to understand what families need to recover.
