Knowing the law is the first step to using it. Our legal awareness workshop in Wardha brought volunteer lawyers to talk with more than 120 women about their rights.
Topics included property and inheritance rights, protection from domestic violence, and how to approach the free legal aid services available in every district.
Women were able to ask questions in private after the session, and several were helped to contact the legal aid office.
